No. 9 Auburn Wins Amegy Bank College Baseball Series with Undefeated Weekend
No. 9 Auburn took down a pair of ranked teams as part of a weekend sweep to clinch the Amegy Bank College Baseball Series title at Globe Life Field.
The Tigers were the only team to go unbeaten in Arlington with wins over Kansas State, No. 16 Florida State and No. 15 Louisville to improve to 7-1 on the young season. Junior outfielder Bristol Carter was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player after recording six hits, including a homerun against the Seminoles, and seven runs scored over the three games.
Kansas State continued its hot start to the season, posting a 2-1 mark on the weekend to improve their overall record to 6-1. Meanwhile, No. 15 Louisville, No. 16 Florida State, Michigan and Nebraska each went 1-2 during their stay in Arlington.
The second weekend of the Amegy Bank College Baseball will welcome four ranked teams to Globe Life Field, including No. 1 UCLA and No. 4 Mississippi State. Tickets are on sale now at collegebaseballseries.com.
